Orlando, FL (April 14th, 2021) – The Centurion Boats pro wakesurf team is pleased to announce the addition of Sean Silvera. The Orlando native has been involved with board sports since the age of 9 years old and he started ocean surfing at the age of 13. Sean would skate or surf every day, even his birthday parties would be a beach day with his parents and friends every year.
Sean competed in a variety of sports from 2006 to 2017 when he discovered the sport of wakesurfing. It was at that time where Sean met up with a local Florida based coach, named “Tarzan” from Wakesurf Orlando, before officially competing as a pro. With Tarzan’s coaching and a relentless drive to improve Sean quickly gained status in the wakesurfing community becoming the #1 ranked rider in the world.
It’s clear that Sean Silvera is a world class athlete, but more than that, Sean is a world class person. Sean has a heart for giving back and has been involved with multiple efforts that aim to make lives better. Last season, Sean teamed up with several other members of the wakesurf community to raise money for Operation Wakesurf, a non-profit organization that utilizes the healing power of water, camaraderie and compassionate mentorship to share wakesurfing with first responders and military personnel.
