A Day of Barbecue and Community for the Centurion Boats Family
YOSEMITE LAKE, CA (AUGUST 30, 2019) – Last weekend Centurion Boats hosted its annual company picnic out on the shores of Yosemite Lake. This annual picnic has been a staple of workplace culture since Correct Craft joined forces with Centurion in 2015. Each year this event serves as a way for the entire Centurion Boats factory team to engage in community and enjoy a day of relaxation after a summer of hard work. Each employee is encouraged to bring their love ones along as the wider Centurion Boats family comes together on one beach.
This year’s picnic was one of the largest to date with over 400 employees and family members in attendance. The day featured spirited games of cornhole, footballs tossed, options for all on the grill, spirited conversations, the annual raffle, and at the end of the afternoon boat rides for all. The boat rides are always the highlight of the day as the production team has a chance to zip across the water in the boats they build as a team. The day was filled with smiles wherever you looked.
Brand coach Brandon Tollie, who typically spends time all over the country helping customers, dealers, and sales reps, attended the picnic for the second year in a row. Brandon, who normally doesn’t spend his day to day around the factory but has been with the company for a significant amount of time, had this to say “It’s really awesome that we can give back to the workers and their families. Up until last year some of them had never been on a boat. I had the chance to drive workers and their kids, seeing their faces light up made it all worth it,”.
President Paul Singer who was all similes throughout the day said, “The company picnic is a chance for everyone at the factory to enjoy each other’s company in a day that’s truly devoted to fun. We’re happy to be able to provide opportunities like this as a part of our mission to make lives better. Without the best factory team in the business it would be impossible for Centurion Boats to succeed.”
All and all it’s safe to say the company picnic was a success, the world’s best waves, wakes, and ride wouldn’t be a reality without all the people that come together to make it happen.
