Career Highlights

Biography Wakesurfer

I grew up in Boise Idaho and even though there was a lake 30 minutes from my house I never spent anytime on the water. My family didn’t have a boat and I was afraid of the water. I can count on my fingers the times I had been behind a boat before I met my husband Jimmi. Instead I grew up dancing and playing the piano. I married Jimmi in April of 2006 and we have 2 amazing kids, Madison and Jack Danger. We started wakesurfing after we bought our first Centurion Enzo SV230 in 2008. I was the only goofy rider out of the family, so Jimmi told me that if I wanted to keep surfing I had to switch to regular…so I did. After playing around for the first year I thought it would be a great idea to sign Jimmi and I up for the 2009 NWWSA competition in Seattle. It was at that competition, after seeing the riding and meeting an awesome group of people, that I knew I wanted to push myself to progress and compete more. We have been traveling to compete ever since. Between being a mom, a wife and wakesurfing…. I am also Mrs. Idaho America 2013, the Host for ThisIsBoise TV and an emcee for the World Wakesurfing Championships! Life is busy but they say, “love what you do and do what you love” and I get to do just that!

Where did you grow up?

Boise, Idaho

Siblings?

2 older sisters and a younger brother.

Kids?

Madison Age 6 and Mr. Jack Danger Age 3

What are your goals?

To make a difference…it doesn’t matter how big or small and to be the best mom for my kiddos.

What are 3 things you point out to someone at a boat show to sell Centurion over a competitor's boat?

Centurion is WAY ahead of the game with the newly introduced RAMFILL ballast system….29 seconds to weight your boat is unreal. There isn’t another wave that has the length, shape and push like the Enzo. There is a reason why it is the official tow boat for the World of Wakesurfing Championships.

Sponsors:

Centurion Boats, Soulcraft Custom Wakesurf Boards, Agenda

Biggest accomplishment in your sports:

1st place in Women’s Outlaw Surf at the Mexico Wakesurf Championships and now being apart of the Centurion team.

Likes?

Traveling, spending all day on the water, naps, being with my awesome husband and kids.

Dislikes?

Jet skiers and running.

Foods?

I love food way too much to pick favorites!

Beliefs? Outlooks on life?

“Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO HOO – what a ride!”

Favorite rider and why?

Caroline Villeneuve aka Caro. Caro is the female rider with THE most style. I could watch her ride for hours! I met her at our first competition in 2009 and she has been giving me pointers and encouraging me ever since. She is what this sport is all about…encouraging/inspiring others and being a killer rider.

Board:

Soulcraft Custom Fang Tail

What first inspired you to begin wakesurfing?

When we were on the test drive for our first Enzo SV230 and they had us get behind the boat to try surfing and I was immediately hooked!

How often do you get to ride?

3-4 days a week.

Who would you like to thank or give props to?

Thank you to my awesome husband Jimmi. He motivates and pushes me to do more every time we are on the lake. Huge thank you to Jeff with Soulcraft….We love you and your boards! Last but not least, the team at Centurion (you know who you are) that made it possible for me to surf this year!
