Centurion team riders dominated the USA Wake Surf National Championship presented by Centurion Boats and Transition WaterSports on June 29 -- July 1, 2012 in Ocklawaha, Florida.  Competitors came from all over the North America to earn a piece of the $14,000 purse. The event was the second of the seven stop World Series of Wake Surfing that will culminate with the Centurion Wake Surfing World Championship in September.

Top ranked Centurion riders Keenan Flegel and Bri Chmel both posted first place finishes. Bri had a strong showing and finished first in the Pro Women’s Skim Style division earning $2,000. Bri's run included one of the sport's best-ever and most technical as she flawlessly hit all her shuv-its, spins and aerials closing with a huge linked shuv-to-spin combo. Centurion sponsored rider Caroline Villeneuve took third place in the Pro Women’s Skim division.

In world-class fashion, Keenan Flegel took first place in both the Pro Men’s Skim Style and in the Surf Style division taking home $2,000 for each victory. Keenan’s passes were nothing less than spectacular including a shuv-in and a shuv-out, followed by a backside big-spin in the surf-style division. Centurion’s six time world champion, Drew Danielo took third place in the Pro Men’s Skim division throwing the 1st ever bigger spin in contest history. Todd Gaughan, Centurion’s Wake Surf Team manager said, "It's amazing to see the progression in wake surfing right now; Off-Axis Aerials, Back Bigs in Surf, Biggerspins & 5-Shuv's - our team is out there making the near impossible, look easy.  We are especially proud of Team Centurion's accomplishments.”

In the amateur divisions, Kaley Sparling and Todd Gaughan each took second place respectively in Women’s Amateur and Men’s Outlaw divisions. Centurion posted an impressive performance captivating seven out of the eighteen podium positions.

Professional Wake Surfing competitions have traditionally segmented riders into two distinctive classifications (divisions) called Skim Board and Surf style based on the board that the competitors ride. The classifications were designed to help keep the competition evenly matched as each board type caters to the rider’s individual style. A recent and welcomed trend however, has seen the most accomplished riders complete the most difficult maneuvers on both board types.

Centurion’s professional wakeboarding and wake surfing team consists of the most decorated athletes in the World. The world renowned Centurion Pro Wake Surf Team which holds a combined 11 World Wake Surfing Championship titles includes champions Bri Chmel, Rebecca Ort, Keenan Flegel and Drew Danielo just to name a few. Centurion’s world class wakeboarding team consists of Ricky Gonzales, Noah Flegel, and Gordon Harrison.
